Roulette Jargon: the French Connection

The game’s French origins have lead to French terms being used within the game. Don’t feel like a dummy on your big night out - let’s take the mystery out of some of some common terms:

Tiers du cylinder – a bet on any group of numbers that are located close together on the Roulette wheel.

Voisins du Zero – literally ‘neighbors of zero’ - a bet on a group of numbers that are located close to the zero slot on the Roulette wheel.

Carre – the Corner bet.
